Financial Profiles and Forefield Announce Partnership to Fully Integrate FMA Advisor Content Into Profiles+ Financial Analysis Software
Optional module integrates powerful financial

San Diego, CA and Marlboro, MA - January 21, 2003 - Financial Profiles Inc., a leading international provider of financial planning solutions, and Forefield Inc., the foremost provider of real-time sales, education, and client communication solutions for financial institutions and their advisors, today announced a strategic partnership to link their respective financial planning tools and distribute an integrated, single platform solution designed to increase the revenue and productivity of financial services representatives. Per the partnership agreement, the companies will develop an optional module for Financial Profiles' Profiles+ Professional and Profiles+ Forecaster that seamlessly integrates these powerful analytical tools with the in-depth content, decision tools, and templates in Forefield's FMA Advisor.
The joint solution reinforces each company's commitment to providing financial services representatives with the most comprehensive, flexible and robust planning tools available. Advisors taking advantage of the optional module will be able to easily explain the analysis generated by the Profiles+ platform to investors using Forefield informational templates that have been fully integrated into the Profiles+ reporting engine. This physical integration of Forefield content into the Profiles+ platform will enable advisors to offer detailed client reports under a solitary brand.
The Forefield module will also help increase advisor productivity by providing access to dynamic sales material and training content made available through a dedicated link to the FMA Advisor Website. Using this direct link within the Profiles+ platform, advisors will be able to consult a multitude of content spanning more than 1,700 financial topics from the same desktop that they use for financial analysis and report generation. By integrating the two complementary solutions, Financial Profiles and Forefield are presented with a valuable opportunity to enter new markets and leverage existing relationships with joint clients.

All FMA Advisor content is written by in-house attorneys and financial planning professionals from a neutral position that is deliberately not connected to specific financial products. In order to further ensure neutrality and accuracy, all FMA Advisor documents are reviewed as appropriate by in-house compliance counsel or submitted to the FINRA, the organization charged with regulating the securities industry and virtually all U.S. stockbrokers and brokerage firms, to ensure content meets all regulatory obligations. Having unbiased, compliant information at their fingertips, advisors are better able to market additional financial products and services.
